Listen "How Would You Want Someone to Stand Up For You? "
Episode Synopsis
Ashley Middleton has been a corporate diversity facilitator since 2014 and she also has a great podcast entitled 'Figuring it Out'. She recently released an episode called 'Being Black in America' and we unpack more of the ideas she shares. Ashley and I also crossover in the wellness fields and tie this all into our understanding and practices of mindfulness. It goes without saying that racism and all its manifestations are very complex. Speaking for myself, I know this is a journey that I'm relatively new at- so I know I'm not getting everything right. I'm learning along the way and doing my best to share what I'm learning. Fortunately, I have some great people in my life like Ashley who are willing to share their time and energy to have these conversations.Check out Ashley's podcast: Figuring it Outhttps://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/figuring-it-out/id1590186650Higher Learning podcast with Van Lathan Jr & Rachel Lindsayhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/higher-learning-with-van-lathan-and-rachel-lindsay/id1515152489Martin Luther King Jr.'s Letter from a Birmingham Jailhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letter_from_Birmingham_JailBuffalo Prep: An amazing civil rights and social justice organization that she and I support! https://buffaloprep.com/
