Episode Synopsis "Artist of Houston: COVID-19 2020 ART INSTALLATION SHOW IN FT. STOCKTON WITH LORI GRIFFIN S2E3"
Lori Griffin is a west Texas based artist/curator who put together a pop up show that I was invited to participate in along with 21 other West Texas Artists. She is a delightful personality and we had a nice conversation at the 'opening' of the show in a donated space owned by local artist Steven Walker. Temperatures were taken at the entrance and artist participants were staggered to ensure social distancing. The work focused on the current experience of the artists in pandemic. On hand was Sarah Shuttleworth, a new artist, whose 3D work illuminating the anxiety we've all felt with wearing masks in public spaces and the difficulty dealing with the plethora of information via media outlets that seem more overwhelming than helpful. The show is designed to be a travelling exhibit and hopefully will visit HTX in the future.
