This week on Appalachian Vibes my guests are the Chapel Hill Americana duo Violet Bell, Bristol VA/TN alt Americana band Annabelle's Curse and the insanely talented soul artist, Rebekah Todd. Violet Bell consists of Lizzy Ross (guitar/vocals) and Omar Ruiz-Lopez (violin and cello). Their upcoming album, Back to the Sea, is a collection of stories about Selkies, not selfies, selkies. A selkie is a creature in Irish folklore. It is a seal who can take off its skin and becomes a woman. Kinda like a mermaid or a siren, but different.
