May 3, 2023 ~ Chris Ferguson grew up in in Philadelphia and earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. degree in Aeronautical Engineering. From 1984 to 2010, he served in the U.S. Navy as a pilot and became an Astronaut in 1988. He commanded three space shuttle missions, including the final mission of the space shuttle program.
