Dr. Michael Behe coined the term "irreducible complexity" to describe a biological structure that has to have all the components present and in the right order for the system to function. We see this at work in the human eye, and down to the microscopic cellular level in the bacterial flagellar motor. 
This factor disproves Darwin's evolutionary theories because these irreducibly complex systems could not have arisen with gradual changes over long periods of time.
