I had the opportunity to talk with Kristyn and Jared, the husband and wife duo behind *repeat repeat, backstage at their Summerfest show. Immediately I was struck by their warm demeanor, colorful style, and desire to create music that transcends demographic boundaries. With a recent Rolling Stones mention and a diligent work ethic, it would be no surprise to me if *repeat repeat makes it big in the coming years. In this interview we talked about the ‘Girlfriend’ music video, surf-rock critics and the ambiguity of their sound. All proceeds from the sale of their polaroid will go to the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
