Listen "Technically right; Functionally wrong"
Episode Synopsis
Send us a textThe tongue is one of the smallest yet most powerful weapons we have. We will give an account for every idle word that we speak. In this episode we take a look at Matthew 12:36. The idle words are words that are used to slander, gossip, self-righteously destroy others and the list goes on. How we treat and speak about those in sin says a lot about what’s really in our hearts. Self-righteousness exposes for the sake of looking good about oneself and destroying the lives of others. Humility understands that lost people do lost things and love covers a multitude of sins. While many of us may be technically right in correcting sin, we are often functionally wrong whenever we allow the principle to take precedence over a person by self-righteously exposing sin.
