But as we read today’s key passage, we see that Jesus was pronouncing the Church of Sardis dead. We can learn a lot from this portion of Scripture not only about what a dying church looks like, but what a thriving church looks like, and the message of hope Jesus has for every single church that’s on the brink of death.
