Listen "Recycling"
Episode Synopsis
Many of us do our best to recycle. But according to some new data, not enough of us in Indiana, specifically Indianapolis, recycle our waste. Why is Indianapolis behind so many major cities when it comes to recycling? And how could we catch up?
Today on All IN we talk to IndyStar investigative reporter Sarah Bowman about the not-so-good state of recycling programs in our capital city, and how it could improve. We also look at how we got here by examining Indianapolis’ history of solid waste management. We talk with recycling advocates about how to do a better job. And we talk to the CEO of a plastics recycling company about why he chose Terre Haute as the location for his Midwest plant.
Produced by Maggie Gelon.
