Listen "Fall Foliage in Indiana"
Episode Synopsis
Towns in and around Brown County are already seeing more visitors than usual, and the leaves have barely begun to change. In a few weeks, traffic will be backed up along State Road 46, and the town of Nashville will be flooded with tourists. How does Brown County, Indiana deal with over a million leaf gazers in the span of just a few weeks?
Today on All IN, we chat with a representative from the Brown County Convention and Visitors Bureau to find out just how many visitors make it to Brown County every fall, and what they do there. We talk to the head naturalist at Brown County State Park about what we see when we look at Indiana’s famous fall foliage. And we talk with a retired botanist about Indiana plants a little closer to the ground that are just as fascinating.
