Listen "Education and Voting"
Episode Synopsis
I am joined by Senator Malcolm Byrne who is the spokesperson for Higher and Further education in the Seanad. I will be asking him about the newly launched apprenticeship scheme by the Irish government and how it will positively impact the young people who apply. I will ask him how reform of our education system can benefit the youth and the workforce If University courses could be more representative of Irish society, particularly those in working-class families. I will then ask him about the voting system and also the importance voting has for our democracy. I wonder will the under 18s be given this right? Tune in and contact us if you have further issues or opportunities that need to be aired.
