The Gospel for the Second Sunday after Easter is about the Good Shepherd. "The Good Shepherd," says St. Gregory, "gave His life for His sheep, that in our sacrament He might change His Body and Blood into food with which to fill all whom He had ransomed. He has shown us the way we must follow to despise death, and set before our eyes the example to which we must conform."
