Listen "Ep. 22 - The Importance of Representation in Adoption with BIPOC Social Workers"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode of Heart- To- Heart with Adoptions From The Heart Podcast, we are joined by BIPOC social workers of PACT Katie Wynen and Jaciara Bayer; along with AFTH’s very own Mykhia Odom. PACT is an organization that serves children and families of color by providing more than just adoption placement, but also education and community support. Like AFTH, PACT’s goal is to ensure families are equipped with lifelong tools by providing lifelong space to be vulnerable and transparent. In this episode, we discuss the importance of representation in the adoption community, the ongoing effects of colorism in the workplace, and notorious privileges.
