Listen "4th of July"

Episode Synopsis

You don’t always know when it’s time to go
Till the walls cave in or you stub your toe
And the window’s closed cause you move too slow to fly
I keep a bag packed, one foot out the door
Ain’t nothing keeping me around here anymore
I’ve got a tank full of gas and I’ll be gone by the 4th of July

Lord knows life ain’t always a hallmark movie
But it keeps coming at you, good and bad, ready or not
Instead of waiting around for a feel good hollywood ending
You've gotta try to forget about the wins you don’t get
And hold on to the ones you’ve got

You don’t always know when it’s time to go
Till the walls cave in or you stub your toe
And the window’s closed cause you move too slow to fly
I keep a bag packed, one foot out the door
Ain’t nothing keeping me around here anymore
I’ve got a tank full of gas and I’ll be gone by the 4th of July

And maybe the best we can hope for is sweet surrender
You can try to hold on, but it’s gone in the blink of an eye
Instead of crying on the corner about how you could’ve been a contender
Make sure you’ve got all your affairs in order
Before you say good bye

Some of us may be planted in fertile soil
But less certain we become the more we know
There’s a fine line between turbulence and turmoil
But these roots won’t keep me planted here
When the levees start to blow

You won’t always know when it’s time to go
Till the walls cave in and you’re lower than low
And the window’s closed cause you move too slow to fly
I keep a bag packed, one foot out the door
Ain’t nothing keeping me around here anymore
I’ve got a tank full of gas and I’ll be gone by the 4th of July

I’m like a firecracker on a hot summer night
I’ve been wrong so long I don’t know how to be right
But I’m ready in ways my actions don’t always imply
I keep a bag packed and one foot out the door
Ain’t nothing keeping me around here anymore
I’ve got a tank full of gas and I’ll be gone by the 4th of July
I’ve got a tank full of gas and I’ll be gone by the 4th of July
