Listen "Is One Park a referendum on Louisville's future?"
Episode Synopsis
Music festivals and commercial real estate are the topics of discussion on this week's episode of Access Louisville. Reporter Haley Cawthon and Digital Editor David Mann attended the metal-focused Louder than Life music festival— the last of three September music festivals in Louisville. (Country music focused Hometown Rising and rock festival Bourbon & Beyond took place in the proceeding weeks.) On the show we talk about what we liked and didn't like with Louder than Life. (It's the venue. We didn't like the venue.) And we discuss the promotor's vision to make these three festivals into something huge for Louisville. After that we talk about developer Kevin Cogan's One Park project, proposed at the intersection of Lexington Road and Grinstead Drive. Reporter Marty Finley recently attended a six-hour long meeting on the project, where its zoning was debated. This meeting evolved into a discussion about Louisville's future and whether we're building the amenities we need to grow properly. The Commercial real estate discussion starts at the 9:20 mark.
