Original Air Date: 11/5/2023 - On Nov. 8, the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs, Louisiana Public Broadcasting, Louisiana State Archives and LSU Library’s T. Harry Williams Center for Oral History are teaming up for the state premiere of Dear Sirs, which recounts the story of an American soldier captured by the German army in France during World War II. Filmmakers Mark Pedri and Carrie McCarthy, and Louisiana DVA's Brandee Patrick sit down with host Pam Bordelon to talk about this inspiring movie about Pedri's grandfather and efforts to tell the stories of Louisiana veterans.
