I heard a phrase a while back that says "never let someone else's negligence become your emergency". When I heard that, it was so empowering. Admittedly, I did allow other people's negligence to become my emergencies—having to fix things last minute. But it's not healthy. You need to put up boundaries and not allow it. It's easy to slip into this habit given we all have smart phones and in theory we are accessible 24/7. But you're a human. You have to unplug. You can't constantly be on.
