Pastor Q and his wife Angela are both natives of the Cedar Valley. Neither of them grew up in overly religious homes. It wasn’t until later in life that they both came to know Jesus. Following both of their conversions, there was an overwhelming burden and sense of urgency to share the love and message of Jesus with all of their family and friends.
With the help of the Core Team, we launched Missional Communities in the summer of 2015, and our first public worship gathering on September 13, 2015. That Sunday more than 200 people attended the first service. From the beginning, Hope City Church has focused on lifting high Jesus, reaching those who are far from God, building relationships, and serving our city through missional communities. Pastor Q and Angela live in Waterloo, with their two children, Kaylee and Jonathan.
