When it comes to the black experience it’s not hard to tell that it is a journey that comes with trials and tribulations. Don’t get me wrong, being black will always be a privilege and power in my eyes, but with this skin comes its struggles and setbacks. Struggles and setbacks, set by a system set on keeping down the people who have built this country. It’s hard enough to deal with the prejudices, stereotypes, racism, and micro-aggressions because of our skintone from other races, but when we feel these same forms of disrespect form our own brothers and sisters brings a whole different pain.
