Listen "Bandit Deconstruction"
Episode Synopsis
This is the first introductory episode of 8-bit Monsters Monster Deconstruction for D&D 5e. This was the first time I recorded an episode and did this right at my computer in a very non-sound proof room. There will be a lot of echo because of this as well as a bunch of nervous energy. You'll hear some word stumbling and somewhat robotic talk as I learn how to record an episode for podcasts and YouTube.
The idea of this podcast is to break monsters down into their bare components: DCR & OCR. These two values will allow us to see how strong they are and to see where D&D got the CR values from. I'm doing this because all too often, players skip right to level 3 to avoid the hell levels and possibly end up dead. Generally, each monster is a balancing act that isn't equal to the final value.
Stick around because not only does the audio get better but my confidence in presenting this information gets even better in episode 2! If you like what you hear and want to see this process in a visual medium. Then come stop by my YouTube channel and watch the magic in action. There will be extras not present here in the audio only media.
