Episode Synopsis
In 1969 director Michael Lindsay-Hogg has a straightforward task. To film the Beatles at Twickenham studios as they prepare for a live television performance, scheduled roughly for a few weeks in the future. The band seem tense, under rehearsed and lacking direction. Within a month they have changed venue, direction, have added Billy Preston to their line up and have performed on the roof of the Apple Corps. headquarters.Now we have both Lindsay-Hogg's edited version, Let It Be, and Peter Jackson's mammoth Get Back.
