Listen "#5: How Do We Practice Unknowing?"
Episode Synopsis
How can I begin to unknow? In this "Do" episode of the 52-Week Rhythm we dig into the everyday practice of unknowing—an invitation to believe in change. Practicing unknowing invites us to believe that others can truly change—and challenges us to interact with both strangers and familiar faces without the baggage of past expectations. To apply this practice, start by giving people the freedom to be different than anyone you've ever met—approach them as if you've never known them. In your next encounter with a stranger, resist the urge to categorize or stereotype; let their actions speak for themselves. When dealing with someone difficult or familiar, approach them with curiosity instead of certainty. And when the moment feels right, offer someone a do-over—extend your trust again and allow them the grace to grow. To learn more, visit https://originscommunity.com.
