Listen "Allisha Minor Gaines: Relationship Therapy, Family, and New Podcast Launch /Ep 3989"
Episode Synopsis
As a seasoned Marriage and Family Therapist, I have guided countless individuals and couples in overcoming relationship challenges, building lasting emotional bonds, and uncovering the root causes of behaviors that affect their connection. My approach blends clinical expertise with real-life experience, helping clients navigate everything from communication breakdowns and relationship trauma to co-parenting struggles and emotional disconnection. Beyond therapy, I'm a passionate motivational speaker, relationship coach, and the founder of Allishaz Distractions LLC – a heart-centered platform dedicated to empowering couples through healing, self-awareness, and intentional growth. You'll also find me sharing relationship tips and insights on Instagram and TikTok. What sets me apart is not only my 20+ years of personal relationship experience as a wife and mother, but also my resilience. I openly share my journey battling a rare form of diabetes, anxiety, and a history of depression, allowing me to connect deeply with those who feel unseen in their own struggles. My warm, welcoming tone helps couples feel safe exploring their vulnerabilities, and my inclusive approach welcomes individuals from all walks of life. As a lesbian woman of color, I understand the layered complexities that many couples face and work to create an affirming space where diverse identities and love stories are celebrated. I use my platform to break barriers and normalize open conversations about mental health, love, and inclusion. I'm also a published author, and my poetry collection, "Distractions of the Heart," invites readers to explore the emotional truths behind their own relationships in a relatable, reflective way. Whether you're navigating relationship trauma, rebuilding trust, or simply seeking a deeper connection, I'm here to support you every step of the way. My mission through Allishaz Distractions LLC is simple: to help couples not only build healthier relationships, but also understand how generational patterns and life experiences shape the way they love, connect, and grow. Let's work together to heal, connect, and thrive—because every love story deserves a chance to flourish.
