It wasn’t all “jumping & shouting” but there developed a pattern, structure of consistent spiritual behaviors, that also can be applied as instruction for our personal individual lives and growth as believers.First, there was “devotion” to the teaching of reputable teachers: Hunger for theword, both at home and in the church.Ephesians 4:11 states that Christ Himself gave “Pastor-Teachers” to equip thesaints for works of service both in the body of Christ and outside the Christiancommunity. Correct understanding of the Word is essential in every setting in church Bible study and outside of the church our personal lives(note also 2 Timothy 2:15)We need to both study the written word and understand it as correctly as possible, at church and in personal devotion; and receive from the spirit the so-called “rhema” word. But, always check it with the written word(logos) and ask reputable gifted Pastor Teachers that you know, for help.
