This is a sermon preached by Pastor Tino DiSiena referencing the scriptures:  Isaiah 40:27-31; 41:9-10; 45:1-5, Psalms 8: 4-9, Romans 8:26 & Hebrews 4:14-16, Matthew 17:14-23.   The need to be replenished and strengthened is part of our mortality and finiteness and is built into our creation: in Isaiah 40:27-31; 41:9-10; 45:1-5, “only He can level the Mountains.” We are purposely created with limits, so as His creatures we must be dependent on Him, in good ways: note Psalms 8: 4-9, “You made him.” That’s one of the points that is included in our natural “weakness” in Romans 8:26 & Hebrews 4:14-16. On Earth and in Heaven, He will always be our God and Helper, we will always need Him. In life on Earth our limits are at times challenged by mountains, a central image that challenges our limits, with impossibility. Note the healing of a boy with a mountain of a demon in Matthew 17:14-23; note especially verses 20-21. Also note Matthew 17: 20-21 implies that the humanly impossible obstacles or mountains can only be removed with God’s involvement or faith in God. And “Nothing” is impossible for His disciples only when there is faith in God and in God’s direction and intervention through them. (Note Matthew 19: 25-26)
