Episode Synopsis "Language in Peacebuilding: a conversation with Lyra & Laila"
To start off the discussion on the topic of language in peacebuilding, we invited our colleague Joep to have a conversation with two alumni from YPI's Young Leadership Experience: Lyra and Laila. In this episode, Lyra and Laila share their personal experiences relating to language as a divider in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but they also explore the potential of language as a connector and a bridge between people. Language is an incredibly powerful tool, and if used correctly, it can be the key to understanding one another and constructively building peace. Enjoy the episode!
