The Olympics always has its fair share of controversial topics and while these do shift over time, it's a pretty safe bet that every four years, people who watch figure skating will be divided over one thing: the costumes. In today's episode, I speak with Jan Longmire, a figure skating costume designer to the stars. Jan went from designing costumes for her kids skating shows and competitions to being an in-demand designer for World and Olympic champions. We chatted about how she got her start, that infamous Vera Wang dress Nancy Kerrigan wore and why most elite costume designers are self-taught.
