Jane Golden is the Founder and Executive Director of Mural Arts Philadelphia. On August 25th, it was announced that Ms. Golden will conclude her 42-year tenure in July of 2026.
Since 1984, Ms. Golden redefined public art in Philadelphia – revitalizing neighborhoods, amplifying community voices, and transforming city walls into the world’s largest outdoor art gallery.
Ms. Golden will remain connected to Mural Arts in an ambassadorial capacity, continuing her long-standing relationship with the organization.
She joined Dr. Peterson to talk about her tenure, the importance of Mural Arts Philadelphia, their 2026 projects, and the Mural Arts Fest happening this Saturday, September 13th from 2PM - 7PM at The Oval located in front of the Art Museum on Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
