Listen "The Good News of Christmas: Love"
Episode Synopsis
The good news of Christmas is the good news of the redemptive love of God. In the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew Chapter 1, we discover that it took generations for God's promise of a Messiah to be fulfilled. We might think that this long list of names is an unexciting way to start the Christmas story, but each name represents an imperfect, flawed individual. Each individual represents a story of God's goodness, mercy, and unconditional love. It's the same for us today. Knowing God's love should lead us to show it to others. 1 John 4:9-11 says, "God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other."Want to know more about Jesus? Text ALIVE 717-366-7226.New to Worship Center?
