This is a true gem.  I can't tell you how fortunate I was to get this accomplished.  I didn't even realize what I had until after I received.  This was originally on a reel tape.  I didn't even have a working reel to reel player to play it and had to have this professionally rerecorded.  It is mind blowing to have this piece of Church history.
This sermon was preached by Robert Welch sometime in 1954 at the Wendell Ave. Church of Christ in Louisville, KY.  To date this is the oldest sermon I have put on Word and Works.  But not only that, this is the first sermon ever preached at the Wendell Ave. Building, which at that time was not even completed.  It is remarkable that I have this sermon, and am more than happy to share it with the world at this time.
**As a side note - as I enter these old sermons it is fully up to the listener to judge whether or not a sermon tells the truth.  It is incumbent on the listener to judge what he hears and study the subject with due diligence.  II Tim. 2:15
