I had the opportunity to talk over Zoom with the co-founders of igolgi, Inc.: Jeff Cooper and Dr. Kumar Ramaswamy. They both worked on aspects of the original ATSC standard in the 90s, ATSC 1.0. In 2008 they founded igolgi, whose encoding equipment was used to deploy H.264 at 80+ Bridge News stations across the United States.
