Listen "Tech Tuesday: Robotaxi Plan"
Episode Synopsis
ABC News Technology Reporter Mike Dobuski talks about how Tesla's autonomous robotaxi plan is moving forward. CEO Elon Musk confirmed over the weekend that the company has gotten rid of the "safety drivers" who had been placed in the front seat of Tesla's small fleet of autonomous vehicles in Austin and San Francisco. It comes as the autonomous vehicle space faces new scrutiny over safety, with competitor Waymo recently announcing a major recall. PLUS: Ford has announced it is discontinuing its much hyped, but slow-selling, electric pickup truck, the F150 Lightning. Plus, iRobot, the company that makes the "Roomba" vacuum, has filed for Chapter 11. But it's not quite the end of the road for the iconic home robot.
