On the last podcast of 2022 I chat with Irish artist, Elizabeth Cope about her work and her solo exhibition, which runs until the 15th January at the Visual Centre at the Carlow Studio Gallery. Elizabeth who is 70 years young, chats about her exhibition "The palpable bump at the bridge of the nose" and the accompanying book. She chats about her process, the inspiration for her work and how some of her often unusual paintings come together including Giraffe Man, the various appearances of Rocky the Lobster and her Menopause series. Elizabeth also gives some practical advice for aspiring artists and hobbyists and says "the struggle is the secret of success". Enjoy the show...
