The forty-sixth episode of Will's Fifth Quarter Special features the host Will Farlow, featuring a guest appearance from WZND Sports director Anthony Ferretti. The first segment features Will and Anthony Ferretti on the eighth edition of the Redbird Sports update where we cover Illinois State Sports for the students at ISU and Redbird alumni. Will and Anthony on the eighth Redbird Sports Update cover the sad finish to the season of the rebuilding Redbird men’s basketball team after they fell in round 1 of the 2020 Arch Madness MVC conference tournament to Drake 75-65. Anthony and I also break down the successful Redbird Women’s basketball season in year three of the Kristen Gillespie era. The Redbird men’s basketball team fell short in Arch Madness and Anthony helps break down their season and whether next year is a make or break year for Dan Muller. The ISU Redbird Women’s basketball team finished their season with their final regular season game due to basketball tournaments being cancelled in mid-March due to COVID- 19 outbreak concerns. Redbird women’s basketball had a great 2019-2020 season and Anthony helps us touch on their success and hypothetically what they could have done if this year’s Hoops in the Heartland Tournament was not cancelled. The final segment closing the show is Will's Sports Movie Moment where Will shares a sports movie moment favorite in a segment where the host and guest co-hosts share a favorite moment in a sports movie favorite comparing it to a moment in modern-day sports.
