Listen "Plagiarism"
Episode Synopsis
Plagiarism is a serious offense that is unfortunately prevalent throughout academia and in other professional domains. While it has been universally determined to be poor professional practice, like any problem behavior it demands a closer analysis from a behavioral perspective. This episode will explore the unique circumstances under which plagiarism in its many forms may occur, and how we might cultivate alternative skills that prevent such behavior and avoid the temptations of tough situations that make it more likely.Recommendations- Abraham: Floriferous with early spring min expansion from Pencil First Games (https://www.pencilfirstgames.com/floriferous/)- Shane: Stranger Things (Season 4; https://www.netflix.com/title/80057281)References/Linkshttps://www.ox.ac.uk/students/academic/guidance/skills/plagiarismhttps://www.researchgate.net/publication/334272536_Plagiarism_A_Behavioral_Perspectivehttps://www.student.unsw.edu.au/how-does-plagiarism-happen#:~:text=Plagiarism%20happens%20for%20a%20number,but%20of%20underdeveloped%20academic%20skillshttps://www.uwec.edu/files/1435/Plagiarism-Resource-Guide.pdfBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/why-we-do-what-we-do--3419521/support.Support our podcast: www.patreon.com/wwdwwdpodcast
