Many years have passed since the Soweto student uprising of 16 June 1976, but discussions and controversy around Afrikaans as a home language and medium of instruction in many South African schools have not changed. Why is that? 
We open the episode with a clip from popular actress Ayanda Boroto, talking about her frustrations (which many South Africans share) on the subject.
