Listen "Students of the Savior: The Beatitudes"
Episode Synopsis
Students of the Savior: The Beatitudes
Jesus’ first public address was not to kings or dignitaries, but to ordinary people like you and I. He delivered good news to all the people, that there was hope for the left out and left behind. The poor, the mourning, the broken, were being beckoned by God. The message Jesus brought in this first talk was countercultural, introduced radical elements of the faith that continue to inspire, and declared that Christ alone fulfilled the requirements to bring peace with God.
This week begin our new series, beginning in the Sermon on the Mount, and then beyond to the teachings and works of Christ in the book of Matthew. Join us as we begin in Matthew 5 with the beatitudes!
