The name Yahweh Adonai speaks very personally of God’s ownership over our lives and the responsibility He takes for our lives. It emphasizes that we belong to Yahweh and that Yahweh possesses the legal and legitimate natural right to determine the affairs of our lives—all of them. He is the Master, the Sovereign, the Lord, the Ruler, the King, and the one who is personally responsible for all things.
