“… and the sea is now no more.” The sea represents the restless churnings and tumult caused by the chaos of humanity. God has stilled the waters. In Him, we can know His rest and live in His peace. Though believing we can enter His rest when we surrender to the fact that Jesus is Yahweh Adonai, the absolute Lord and our Prince of Peace.

The New Jerusalem now coming down out of heaven is a picture of the wife of Christ, the Called and Chosen and Faithful who have been prepared and adorned as a bride for her groom. Why a city? It is a picture that communicates community, connectedness, safety, refuge, and provision. Other names include "The City of God's Delight" and "The Bride of God;" Those who comprise this city will be called "The Holy People" and "The People Redeemed by Yahweh." Yahweh will tabernacle with His people.
