Listen "The DePaul School "
Episode Synopsis
The guests for this episode are Dr. Chanley Dudley, Board Chairman and President, and Terry Misette, an expert in enrollment and community relations from DePaul School of Northeast Florida. The DePaul School is a local institution that specializes in educating children with dyslexia, specifically from second to eighth grade. Dyslexia is a common condition affecting one in five children, characterized not by reading backward but by a neurological difference that impacts language processing. If children with dyslexia are not taught in a way that aligns with how they learn best, they face a high risk of lifelong illiteracy. The DePaul School employs the Orton-Gillingham method, a research-based approach that is multi-sensory and caters to various learning styles, ensuring that all students are engaged. DePaul aims to provide a comprehensive support system that alleviates the burden on families by integrating necessary interventions into the school day.And most excitingly, Depaul School is preparing to celebrate its 45th anniversary 🥳 with a gala event scheduled for October 25, 2025, aimed at raising funds for the school's initiatives.
