Point Pleasant, West Virginia has a long history of high strangeness, dating back to the Spanish-American War when a Native American Chief, betrayed and killed by the American military, enacted his dying  vengeance by laying a curse upon the land. Fast forward to two November evenings in 1966 involving an encounter with a stranger from the stars and a mysterious bird-like creature who plagued the town of Point Pleasant until the collapse of the Silver Bridge in December of 1967, a creature now known to everyone as the Mothman.
