Listen "What Does the Bible Say About Being Faithful Unto Death #2?"
Episode Synopsis
Send us a textIn this second and final episode, Arnie and Fred continue their discussion of being faithful to God until we die. We begin with a short review of Jesus' temptation by Satan and how he tried to get Jesus to sin. We note how Jesus defeated the temptation and note that Jesus has provided us with the guidance on how we can do the same, if we follow His guidance. We look at the fact that James reiterates the same guidance relating to the problem of following what the world wants us to do. We identify who is behind these worldly things. We move on to the matter of forgiveness and how important it is to being faithful unto death. Jesus discusses some specific things that can affect our faithfulness to Him. We look at them. We discuss what it means to forsake our service to the Lord, how being forsaken affects Him and His assurance given to His faithful ones. The Hebrew writer notes the lack of teaching ability those he wrote to suffered from. We talk about how this affects our faithfulness. Solomon has much to say about the problem of aging, how we suffer from it and when we ought to remember our Creator. Paul writes about this very subject and how we ought to look at this personal problem we all experience. We complete this episode by going back to what Jesus said to the local church at Smyrna in Revelation chapter 2 verse 10. Take about 30 minutes to listen in on our discussion.
