In this third sermon of our Rooted Series, where we are taking a look at the genealogy of Jesus that Matthew records for us in his gospel, we continue with Abraham's son Isaac. Isaac was the son of the promise that Abraham and Sarah had waited 25 years for. When it was time to find a wife for Isaac, Abraham knew he could not take one from the pagan people they were living amongst. So he sent his head servant back to his people to find a wife. In this sermon we discuss how we as Christian, like Isaac, have been set apart. We are God's special possession. We also recognize that Jesus prepared us for these troubling days.
