We're looking at a snow-packed forecast that's about to turn the Windy City into the Snowy City. Overnight, we're expecting snow to start after 4 am, with temperatures hovering around a crisp 29 degrees. Expect some serious wind action with northwest winds reaching up to 20 miles per hour and gusts up to 30 miles per hour. We're talking about a light dusting of less than half an inch of snow.Sunday's going to be a winter wonderland adventure! Snow will be falling before 11 am, with flurries continuing throughout the day. Temperatures will tease us by rising to near 29 degrees by noon, then dropping to around 25 degrees. Those northwest winds will kick it up a notch, blowing at 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 35 miles per hour. Expect about an inch of fresh snow to cover the ground.Hold onto your hats for Sunday night - we're diving into some seriously cold temperatures. We're looking at a low around 4 degrees, with wind chill values plummeting to a bone-chilling negative 13 degrees. Those west-northwest winds won't give us a break, blowing at 15 to 20 miles per hour.Washington's Birthday is going to be a cold one, with partly sunny skies and a high near 12 degrees. Wind chill values will bottom out at negative 14 degrees. Brrr!The rest of the week looks like a roller coaster of cold temperatures, with mostly sunny days and a chance of snow midweek.
