Many imagine a God who drives us away in terror — but the Church teaches something far more beautiful. To fear the Lord is to recognize His majesty, His holiness, and His fatherly love that commands both reverence and trust. It is the awe that moves us to kneel, the humility that draws us to obedience, and the love that compels us to run into His arms rather than away. This holy fear doesn’t distance us from Him; it brings us closer, shaping our hearts to live in His will.
