I added to @encym's excellent, guitar-based, track, Frugality (https://soundcloud.com/encym/the-loneliest-number-disquiet0591?si=c7a742bc48e04018b5249a736278acdb&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing). I used this as an exercise in MIDI processing in Ableton. I used a MIDI pitch tracker on a filtered version of the original track (to reduce the range of notes), then passed the MIDI to two tracks with Arturia's Augmented Strings (both with a bass pizzicato patch, with slight variations). The MIDI was processed with MIDI echo and note length changes and arpeggiated in both cases. In one case the scale was forced into a Hungarian Minor.
