Listen "missing (disquiet0586)"
Episode Synopsis
I recorded three tracks, two based on the same chord sequence and the third using the incomplete track from last week’s prompt. The track I’d created as the basis for last week’s prompt, that I missed, ironically, due to time pressure, used VLC, skipping sections rhythmically, then played through a three part looper I made in MaxMSP, which was then fed through my modular to put it through some resonant filters and give it distortion. Another track used the new Klevgrand instrument, Speldosa, and the third used GlitchMachines’ Palindrome with a sample of a field recording of bells I made on the Brick Bay Sculpture Trail. I used two instances of ShaperBox 3 on each track with random, square, volume envelopes to create the random missing bits. There’s a bit of Valhalla Delay on the Speldosa track.
