Let's talk about prayerlessness. It is so easy to find yourself in the Wilderness refusing to talk to God or expecting God to answer your prayers. Prayerlessness is often the result of a deeply disappointed soul that simply stops asking and stops hoping for anything more than what will be. But not only is that a position of defeat, it is also a surrendering of our identity and authority. Prayer is transformative and reminds us of who we are and Who is on our side. We desperately need to be reminded of that in dry places. So let us pray big, bold, brave prayers to a God Who still hears and sees us in a wilderness place. Let us become mature sons and daughters who refuse to be quelled into quiet.
