Chapter 16 of the Book of Revelation gives us a picture of the final tribulation that awaits those who have the mark of the beast; we also see an undoing of man’s plans. Irish Scripture Scholar Frances Hogan explains the last plague which results in hailstones that weigh a hundred pounds crashing onto the earth; this is a massive punishment.

Those who survive this tremendous punishment continue to curse God who unleashed hail on them. In Exodus, Moses asks the people of God if they will commit themselves to God, and the people respond, 3 times, that will do all that the Lord asks them. Moses ratified the covenant after the third time. In Revelation, we see the people cursing God 3 times; they formally choose sin and darkness forever and separate themselves from God.

In Chapter 17, we see the final triumph of the Lamb on the earth. The judgment of God is given in favor of the lambs of the Lamb - the little ones who are faithful to the Lamb. We see a woman sitting on the beast enjoying all that the beast has to offer; she is living a life against the will of God.
