Sacrifice is the denial of oneself for the benefit of another. When we think of sacrifice, we often think of those who bravely give their lives in service of their country - a soldier who gives their life to save the lives of his brothers in arms. But rarely do we see sacrifice offered towards complete strangers. One such man is David Eubank. For over 20 years, David, his family, and their fellow-aid workers have risked everything for the benefit of strangers who later became like family. By telling David’s story, we will seek to learn just what it takes for us to lay down our own needs for the betterment of others, and to do it with joy and thanksgiving.
